Meet The Trainer
geT TO KNOW THE TRAINER
Brittany Turner
Brittany has been working as a professional dog trainer since 2017. Back in 2014, while completing her BA at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, she completed the 2 year Assistance Dog Training Program; learning, training and caring for a service dog.
Brittany is an accomplished graduate from the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers- Immersion Program. The program is an 18 week curriculum known to be one of the most in depth training programs in the country.
“During the program I learned more than I ever thought possible. I developed a more complete understanding of the science behind how dogs learn, the process in which learning takes place and overall reading of body language/ temperament. This allows me to approach each situation individually and appropriately.”
While Brittany’s title is a dog training her true passion comes from guiding her clients on the right path to strengthen their relationship with their dog.
“I love seeing the light bulb go off for my clients. Once you know better, you do better. Generally speaking it all boils down to teaching owners the what, why and how behind each lesson. My goal is to give the necessary knowledge to my clients that they can apply to their dogs long term. I believe this is the clearest way to teach and train.
