What I really mean is, is your dog interested in you? In a world full of competing motivators otherwise known as distractions  ( squirrels, dogs, people, smells, ect),  where do you stand on your dog’s list of “attractiveness” 

If your walks consist of getting dragged toward other dogs, people or smells, I am sorry to tell you that your dog does not think you are sexy. 🙁

Having a strong relationship with your dog means keeping them engaged with you even in more challenging environments. Utilizing your dog’s food is the easiest way to start building your dog’s interest in you. When I say food, I don’t mean just using training treats, I mean using their meal! If you show your dog that in order to get fed they need to engage with you, you will become more and more relevant to your dog despite the environment.
